In order to meet the needs of chemical parks for deep treatment and recycling of high-concentration organic wastewater, we successfully implemented a 500 m³/day membrane separation + resin adsorption integrated system in a chemical park in Zhuhai. The system has a compact design, high degree of automation, stable operation, and the effluent quality reaches Class A of the "Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Discharge Standard". More than 80% of the water is reused for industrial cooling and park greening.
This system is based on the combination of hollow fiber ultrafiltration + nanofiltration membranes. The ultrafiltration membrane first intercepts suspended solids and macromolecular organic matter in the wastewater, and then the nanofiltration membrane deeply removes soluble small molecule pollutants and divalent heavy metals (Pb, Cr, etc.), and ensures the long-term stability of the membrane flux through automatic backwashing and online chemical cleaning technology; the matching high specific surface area ion exchange resin unit specifically adsorbs residual organic small molecules and trace heavy metals, monitors the resin saturation in real time online and regenerates periodically; finally, ozone oxidation and activated carbon polishing are used for dual deep treatment to completely decompose difficult-to-degrade substances and remove odors, achieving a deep purification effect with multi-stage linkage and compact process.
After the system was put into stable operation, the average COD removal rate of wastewater reached 95%, the total heavy metal removal rate exceeded 99%, and the effluent reached Class A of the "Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Discharge Standard" for a long time; 40% of the treated water was reused for industrial cooling and park greening, saving about 73,000 m³ of fresh water annually; the whole process was monitored by PLC automation, the service life of the membrane components exceeded 5 years, and the annual operation and maintenance cost was less than 150,000 yuan, providing an efficient, economical and environmentally friendly water treatment solution for the chemical park.
